My Watcher arrived today............and I felt so blessed to have her here, finally.
Thank you so much for writing what you did on the frame.....it really touched my heart. What a great gift you have given to me...........what a great gift that you have been granted by some higher power to be able to express yourself through your art.
I will smile each time I wake up in the morning to see my Watcher, watching over me...........

Their faces looked at me with a blend of strength and gentle attention, a mix of hard courage and soft accommodation. J.C.'s shading of each of these women in their own unique light gave each work it's own personality. There is a sense that the artist was putting more than subtle colors on the canvas. Rather, it seems that he put life into each face and sight into those incredible eyes. He must have felt that he had company while he was creating these faces. I wonder if he borrowed some of Vermeer's Light?
